A project commissioned by the Education and Memorial Site at the House of the Wannsee Conference (Haus der Wannsee-Konferenz). With the support of the “Memory, Responsibility and Future” Foundation.
This Project Folder brings you the exciting history of a treasure trove: a glass jar dug up in the 1970s in woodland near Neubrandenburg containing documents smuggled out of the Ravensbrück concentration camp by Polish prisoners to serve as future evidence of human rights abuses. The jar held letters, poems, artistic documents, lists of shootings and medical experiments.
The lessons developed from it build bridges between teaching history and human rights. For more information, see here. hier.
